Joaquin Phoenix is a Mexican actor, environmentalist, film producer, and animal rights, advocate. He has garnered many accolades, such as an Oscar Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor, a nomination for a Comedy or Drama Special, and a number of Critics’ Choice Awards. Joaquin has won both the Critics’ Choice award and the Critics’ choice film of the year, for such films as The Lost Boys, Enemy of the State, The Insider, and End of Watch. One of his recent films was Zero Dark Thirty, which was also awarded a Golden Globe Award for Best Picture. Joaquin is the recipient of a number of awards including an Oscar nomination and Golden Globe award.

Born in Mexico City, Phoenix came to the United States when he was four years old and lived in New York City and Los Angeles. He was raised in California as a Catholic but grew up in the Catholic Church as a practicing Jew before becoming a practicing Roman Catholic. Phoenix is of mixed heritage and is of Japanese descent. He also has Mexican and Irish ancestry.

Joaquin Phoenix was born into a family of actors. His father was a stage actor and his mother was an actress. Joaquin’s mother was an actress, dancer, and singer. Phoenix was actually trained by her for two years in classical ballet and dance. She encouraged him to pursue acting, but he did not want to go to college and instead focused on acting.

In addition to his acting career, Joaquin Phoenix has been involved with a number of causes. He started a foundation called the Phoenix Foundation to help animals and wildlife. This foundation is devoted to improving the quality of life in India and Africa while combating poverty in the world by teaching children the basics of nutrition and helping to feed the world. He also founded the Environmental Solutions, which works to improve and preserve the earth and environment.

Joaquin Phoenix lives in Los Angeles, California, where he is a writer, director, producer, editor, actor and musician.
